How my mind works...

I like animals better than people.
I cannot understand how anyone can look into the face of a child and cause them pain.
Do we all see colors the same way? Or is what is blue to me is red to you, but since they are constants, they are our reality? (for example: when we are 4, our mothers tell us the grass is green. What if to my brain, that color I see on the grass is purple? Then everything that I ever see that is the same color as that grass will be purple to me...only I call it "green," because that's what I was taught.)
Ditto with how we perceive things to taste...
I'm afraid to stick my hand in the garbage disposal, even though I know it's off.
It irritates me when people say celebrities die in "threes." (My mom does this, but I love her anyway.) What's the timeline for this? If it's 2 deaths in 2 days, then not another one for 3 weeks, maybe they die in "twos." Or if one person dies, then a month later another person dies, then 3 weeks later another, then the next day-another, why is that fourth death the 1st in the morbidity triangle?
I don't trust auto mechanics. I have NEVER had a car problem that doesn't involve either a costly part, or extensive labor (or both!)
P.E. coaches are cruel to allow students to select the members of their teams.
I love "The X-Files," but only the bizarre, creepy episodes. The "alien episodes" bore me.
I LOVE rainy days...and nights...and low, rolling thunder.
I realize that my fear of bugs, lizards, frogs and mice is irrational- and they still scare the hell out of me.
TNT and TBS are far better networks than USA and FX because they never have "paid programming." (And a big "Thank You" to every network that carries 24-hour programming!)

Up and Running!

I am amazed that with all of the information available these days, that people can still be so narrow-minded. I am proud of the fact that I can listen and read, and make rational decisions based upon what I learn. In short, I can think for myself...something so many people don't realize they too, can do.

I am blessed to be an American, where I am not persecuted for my thoughts.

I also like to sing.
